San Leandro Police arrested a woman seen on video posting racist letters in a neighborhood. The letters were hand written and put on poles outside of five different homes in the heron bay neighborhood. All the victims appear to be of asian descent. The heat and the humidity are the number one things theyre battling. The good news which is probably helping them get that containment we just heard about is the wind is not extremely gusty. Right now we have winds out of the northwest at 10, occasional gusts to 20. So that likely has been helping those firefighters. Here you can see it on this map. South of Lake Berryessa. Smoke from this primarily blowing towards winters with the way that that wind is blowing. Once again, 128 and wragg canyon road. Tomorrow winds out of the west at 10. Tomorrow gusts also up to 20. Im erin coleman. Good morning to you. This morning to you the neighborhood is walking waking up to a shocking loss. He was looking for his wife. She with was screaming and he couldnt hear her. The noise, the windows popping. Reporter eric jackson drove down the street at the right time. As he passed by he saw flames. He pued over as the homeowner was trying to put out the fire himself. He said the man has lived her for years. He was running in and out of his home looking for his wife. The victims son tells us he didnt realize his wife had walked onto the first floor roof and was looking for a way to jump down. So he ran to the side of the house to get a hose and came back in. She is outside yelling his name the whole time. He didnt know so he went what any husband should do. He went in there to try to find her. He didnt make it out. Reporter the victims son who you just heard from says his fiveyearold niece lives at this house and she would have been here last night during the fire but ....
