The Texas-based buyer group plans to transform the building into apartments, in a $102 million project that won sought-after state historic preservation tax credits last year.
The downtown project, in Cleveland's new Erieview Historic District, was one of six in Northeast Ohio to secure much-coveted tax credits from the Ohio Department of Development.
Michael Deemer of Downtown Cleveland Alliance writes, ‘We have been working all year to build a better downtown: one that is more inclusive, vibrant and ready to welcome the community.'
A partnership between Bluelofts Inc. and Dallas-area investor Kenny Wolfe has a contract to buy 45 Erieview Plaza, a nearly 493,000-square-foot office building in downtown Cleveland. They hope to transform the former corporate headquarters complex into a live-work space, with hundreds of apartments and coworking facilities.
