OROVILLE, Calif. - People in Oroville will now have to wait to see if Cal Fire will take over fire protection in the city.
City administrator, Bill LaGrone said the city canceled Tuesday s meeting after a council member tested positive for COVID-19.
City leaders were set to decide whether to stay with Oroville Fire or switch to Cal Fire in that meeting. It s important to see what s going on within the city, said Roxanne Eldridge, from Oroville. This is a big move for the city so I ve been researching it a lot and seeing the pros and cons here and I ve been following this because it s our community and its public safety and very important for everyone.
