State CARES Act fund for establishments with liquor permits due Sunday

​​​​​​ZANESVILLE - Bars and restaurants with on-premise liquor permits have another shot at pandemic relief funding, but those who haven t already applied need to do so by Sunday.
Applications for the Ohio Bar and Restaurant Fund are accepted through Jan. 31. Each of the 15,400 eligible permit holders across the state will receive $2,500 for each of their unique business locations, but only if they submit an application.
On-premise liquor permit holders from dozens of local establishments still qualify. As of Tuesday, there were 26 permits in Muskingum County, five in Coshocton County, eight in Guernsey County and 15 in Perry County that still qualify for the fund. ....

COLUMBUS Days before the Jan. 31 deadline, thousands of on-premises liquor permit holders still have not claimed their money from the state s Bar and Restaurant Assistance Fund.
Of the 4,270 eligible permit holders, about 28% have not yet visited www.businesshelp.ohio.gov to claim their funding, according to a news release sent Thursday by Sherry Maxfield, Director, Ohio Department of Commerce.

Many of those remaining establishments are in North Central Ohio: 48 are in Richland County, 20 are in Ashland County and 14 are in Crawford County.

About 100 of those remaining establishments are in Stark County. However, at least half a dozen of those listed businesses are permanently closed   such as The Rail and Main Street Grille   or recently had their liquor permit renewals denied   such as the Canton Negro Oldtimers Activity Center and Mills Place.  ....

WARREN Businesses in the Mahoning Valley hurt by the viral outbreak have until Sunday to apply for financial aid through the state’s Bar and Restaurant Assistance Fund.
The $38.7 million in the fund is to help liquor permit holders impacted by the viral outbreak. The types of permit holders the fund applies to include bars, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, wineries, casinos, private clubs and several others.
According to the state, Trumbull County has 275 eligible permits, and 64 had not applied as of Jan. 19. In Mahoning County, there are 361 eligible permits; 106 have not applied through that date.
Eligible permit holders must have an active on premise permit. Licensees must present their FEIN or SSN, liquor permit number and address for each location at time of application. Licensees could receive $2,500 per business location. ....
