ASSAULT
May 1, 2:39 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Third Street in reference to an assault. Officers observed Rusty Swartz on the scene with a bloody stab wound to his hand. Swartz denied an ambulance and claimed his neighbor, Stanley Grillot III, stabbed him. After getting statements from Grillot, Swartz and a witness, officers issued Grillot a citation for assault.
WARRANT
May 1, 7:10 p.m.: Aaron Hickey was arrested on an active warrant near N. Ohio Street. Hickey was arrested and transported to the Darke County Jail on $525 bond.
May 1, 10:04 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Wagner Avenue in reference to a subject with active warrants. Upon arrival, police located Michael Crawford, who had two active warrants in Darke County. Crawford was transported to the Darke Co. Jail where he was incarcerated without bond. ....

DARKE COUNTY The Darke County Park District will be hosting a family fun day in celebration of both Earth Day and Trails Day on April 22 and 24. There will be several fun family activities scheduled throughout each day. Registration is required for this event.
Coffee with the Birds: April 22 at 8 a.m. at the Bish Discovery Center. Come enjoy some shade-grown coffee while learning about how songbird migration and coffee are deeply connected. Once we enjoy our brew, we’ll take a cup for the trail as we turn our eyes to the skies looking for the birds that benefit the most from shade-grown coffee, warblers! ....

WARRANT
April 6, 10:47 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Water Street in reference to a subject with active warrants. Upon arrival, police located Steve Bidwell, who had an active warrant in Darke County and two active warrants from Michigan. Bidwell was transported to the Darke Co. Jail where he was incarcerated without bond.
April 6, 2:41 p.m.: William Bush was arrested on a warrant from Darke Co. Municipal Court near the 500 block of East Water Street. Bush was transported to the jail and held on a bond of $575.
THEFT
April 5, 10:14 a.m.: Police responded to a theft not in progress at Superior Auto Sales, 1535 Wagner Avenue. A list of damaged vehicles and stolen items were taken. There are no suspects at this time. ....
