Image Source: IANS News Lucknow, May 17 : The Uttar Pradesh government has set up Covid Care Centres at Reserve Police Lines across 66 districts of Uttar Pradesh for police personnel. The centres will provide proper isolation and quarantine facility and immediate required medical aid to asymptomatic and mild symptomatic police personnel. These Covid-care centres have 2993 beds, out of which 299 are oxygen beds in the Police Lines. Covid Care Centres have also been established at about 34 PAC Battalions. ....

Representative image NOIDA: A cop posted at the Noida police commissionerate allegedly duped at least six other fellow policemen promising to get a government accommodation allotted to them. Boasting of his “connections with senior officers” Kapil Baliyan, a constable with the investigation cell of the Noida police, had allegedly taken Rs 8,000-Rs 10,000 from each victim on the pretext of getting them a government accommodation in the reserve police lines or Luksar jail compound or police quarters. Baliyan is currently on the run. A recommendation of a “major punishment” has been made against the accused, who can even face dismissal from service if found guilty after an inquiry, officials said.
