Police said Mukesh Gurjar, who is contesting the local zila panchayat member polls, opened fire as soon as he spotted cops outside his house in Nangla Nainsukh village on Sunday. Dadri SHO Rajvir Singh told TOI, “He was spotted outside the house, but he got alarmed and fired one gunshot before escaping. An FIR is being lodged against him. Mukesh has a criminal history, and is wanted in cases of causing hurt and under the Arms Act.” ....

The authority has asked residents and allottees to file all applications and service requests online from May 1. Officials said that 203 services have already been digitised and will be offered through the web portal. The authority had started switching to paperless working from September last year. Having created an enterprise resource planning management software, the authority had started disposing applications submitted through its web portal and mobile app in a time-bound manner.
