August 28, 2022 set out for digital census 24 August 28, 2022 set out for digital census TANZANIA’s population is projected at 64m people by August next year when the nation conducts its sixth national population and housing census, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has predicted. Government Chief Statistician, Dr Albina Chuwa said here at the weekend that a pilot census is expected to be conducted this August to see if NBS officials are fully versed with the technology to conduct the national census next year. She said that NBS projections are that by the time of conducting the census Tanzania will have a population of 64m people, up from 44.9m people registered in the 2012 census. ....
