Fugitive from Poconos wanted in 2014 fatal crash apprehended in Mexico


A Long Pond fugitive wanted for vehicular homicide in Mount Pocono has been apprehended in Mexico, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday evening.
Sheriff Ken Morris confirmed on July 22 that Kirk Randler, who was wanted for the 2014 Mount Pocono crash that killed his girlfriend Katrina Strausser, had been taken into custody in Durango, Mexico. Randler has since been taken to Houston Texas, and is currently awaiting extradition to Monroe County for sentencing.
Morris noted that his department had received a tip about Randler earlier in the month, and had contacted the U.S. Marshal s Office with that information. ....
