It was on September 15 last year that the same number of people had tested positive and it was the highest single-day spike of 2020. Four patients lost their lives today. Those who tested positive today include two healthcare workers, two cops, two pre-operative cases and six teachers. Teachers who tested positive are one from GSSS, Jandali, two from Arya College, one from GSSS, Ayali Khurd, one from Partap Public School, Hambran Road, and one from Government School, Dashmesh Nagar. Three women and one man of Rajgarh, Basant Avenue, Fatehgarh Mohalla and Jassowal lost their lives today. ....

Such a sudden spike was noticed last year in September, when 462 people had tested positive for Covid in a day. Those who lost their lives were in the age group of 40-80 years and include five females and two males. The deceased belong to Civil Lines, Rajguru Nagar, Model Town, Dugri, Prem Nagar, Karamsar Colony and LIG Colony. Four patients were admitted to the PGI, Chandigarh. The positive cases today include five healthcare workers, four pre-operative cases, seven teachers and three students. The teachers who tested positive include two teachers from GNE College, one teacher from Manav Rachna International School Dugri, one teacher from PAU, one teacher from Amrit Indo-Canadian Academy, one teacher from BCM School Shastri Nagar and one teacher from Arya College. Ludhiana: The result of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’s (ICAI) CA final exam was released late on Moday. The CA exam was held in November 2020. Over six candidates from the city have made it to finals, including Charu Wahi, Jaspreet Singh, Neha Garg. Charu, 26, has done BCom Hons from Arya College and had scored 246 in group 1, for which she appeared in November 2019, and she scored 223 out of 400 in group 2 in November 2020. She cleared this exam in her first attempt and is aiming to do the CPA from abroad. She said , “It’s been five 5 years since I had been preparing for it and I finally cracked it.” ....
