Monadnock Ledger-Transcript - New Little Free Library in Wilton celebrates Pride

Published: 7/12/2021 4:49:35 PM In front of her home on 10 Livermore Street, Wilton artist and activist Ann Putnam has installed a Pride-themed Little Free Library. Little Free Library is a movement of building small book exchanges that are available in public areas, where people can take or leave books. Putnam said in an interview Thursday that she’s seen several across the region – there is one in the Wilton Main Street Association Park – and instantly wanted to build one of her own. “I fell in love with this small way of sharing literacy with the community,” Putnam said. “I have a deep respect for the role of libraries in communities. They’re a free, truly public space where people from all walks of life can get together.”

10 YA Novels With Badass Heroines Who Have No Time For Your B.S.

By Larissa IrankundaFeb 24th, 2021, 10:44 am Happy almost-March! Women’s history month is right around the corner, and with that comes incredible new opportunities to celebrate the womxn of our past, present, and future. When it comes to Young Adult novels, what made me first fall in love with the genre as a teenager was the wealth of female protagonists and heroines that displayed courage, confidence, and a sisterhood that ran through the length of each memorable story. Even as an adult, I’m still blown away by the sheer beauty of the stories that are being published in YA, as they each illustrate the beautiful nuances of girlhood, and the power of diverse, female-driven stories.

The Real-Life Witches Behind The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina

The Real-Life Witches Behind The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina YouTube While The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a fictional creation, the show s creators have based quite a few of its concepts on real-world ties to witchcraft and the occult. They include real modern day pagans like production designer Lisa Soper, who told Refinery29 that some things like the show s sets, props, and spells are the real occult deal. Witches, in fact, have been part of history for a very, very long time. They re arguably represented far back into human prehistory, according to the Journal of Archaeological Method and Theory. Consider all of the apparently ritual objects uncovered by excavators, some of which appear to have been destroyed as part of a religious ritual. More directly, named witches and magic workers show up fairly early in the historical records, says History. They include the mysterious Witch of Endor mentioned in the Bible s Book of Samuel, written some time be
