As a history professor, i am sometimes reticent to indulge in what i call anniversary history. Because i like my students to think that every single day is historic. But it does feel right to take a moment, take a day, and really think about what happened during that year. So thats what were doing today. The city of salem is going to be doing probably all summer long. Before i introduce our distinguished guest who is doing to open up our symposium, the mayor of salem, kimberley driscoll, i want to say thanks before i forget to thank everybody at the end while were wrapping up this day. Im going to thank all of the presenters for their contributions. But right now, i just want to thank my Little Committee< ....
