MANILA – “Gabay”, the first Filipino track to be used in the Disney film “Raya and the Last Dragon”, is set to be heard on Spotify on Friday.
Singer KZ Tandingan was chosen to showcase her talent for this track, which is about trust, strength, and unity.
As the film was inspired by various Southeast Asian cultures, Disney Philippines’ Studio Marketing head, Allie Benedicto said “Gabay” shows their commitment to work with local creative talents in telling stories in a local manner.

After exciting us with a teaser, Disney Philippines on Tuesday revealed having handpicked Asia s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan to sing the first Disney Filipino song. Titled Gabay, the song celebrates the introduction of Disney s upcoming animated film Raya and the Last Dragon about a Southeast Asian-inspired princess and warrior. The movie is influenced by various Southeast Asian cultures including Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Malaysia.
