Scientists say Antarctica iceberg break not due to climate change

Scientists say climate change wasn t to blame for a giant iceberg breaking away in Antarctica but rather, high tide.

A 1,550 square kilometre iceberg broke off the Brunt Ice Shelf over the weekend, almost a decade after cracks formed in a section known as Chasm One.

Glaciologist Dominic Hodgson says the ice separation naturally occurs in this part of Antarctica.
