The temps will continue to plummet the winds expected to kick up then some of us will see snow. Taylors here with us. This is one of those weekends where its a good idea to limit how much time youll be spending outside. Layers will be the key this weekend, bill. A wind chill advisory will go into effect in about an hour for most of the viewing area including roanoke. Wind chill values have already dropped near zero in hot springs, and are forecast to reach that mark in the lower elevations later tonight. The runway is covered in snow tonight and a handful of flights are canceled tonight. Well check in now with jeff haniewich. As you said the winter storm is in effect until tomorrow. For the potential of freezing rain across the area, it will be heavy and widespread and cause treacherous conditionsp even south into franklin and chatham and up north and into brook neil, dealing with heavy rain at this point. Give it about 20 minutes and it will be arriving in lynch burg. Well have not one but two batches of energy here well be watching over the next 18 hours. Icing concerns in light blue, thats where we have at least a tenth of an inch and areas in pink about a quarter of a inch. East of that, as much as half an inch of ice. Potential is there for significant icing. We are looking at a trace0. 50 of ice accretion.
