Federal authorities are working to round up more suspects they say are connected to o one of t largest cases of internet fraud in u. S. History. The fbi says these six fugitives are believed to be in the u. S. Theyre some of the 80 people mainly from nigeria who were indicted as part of a threeyear investigation. Laura podesta is in new york. Laura, who did the suspects allegedly target . Wendy, prosecutors say they prayed on anyone connected to those looking for romance and businesses. Theyre accused of stealing millions of dollars from dozens of victims in the u. S. And from around the world. Authorities arrested dozens in Southern California yesterday. We believe this is one of the largest cases of this kind in history. The suspects were among 80 people indicted and charged with being part of
Barreling toward the u. S. Dorian is pounding the northwestern bahamas this morning with winds of 175 miles per hour. Some 30 inches of rain could fall there. A lifethreatening storm surge of up to 23 feet is possible. A hurricane warning is now in effect for parts of floridas east coast. Dorian is a threat from florida to North Carolina. Cbs news weather producer David Parkinson is predicting the unpredictable path of the storm. Well, good morning. The storm has barely moved. Itg a little bit toward the north. Thats an indication that were starting to see maybe a shift to the north for florida to avoid seeing a landfall. Right now the winds are at 175 pliels an hour. It ee moving to the west at 2 miles an hour and its still off the West Palm Beach coast, but its unfortunately way too close for comfort. Heres the concern. It goes all the way up the florida coastline. By Tuesday Morning its still a category 4. By wednesday, a category 3 with 100mileanhour winds sitting off jacksonville.

Dorian is expected to hit somewhere between florida and southern georgia on monday and could make landfall as a powerful category 4 storm. That would make it the strongest storm to hit floridas east coast since hurricane andrew in 1992. This ominous view from the International Space station shows the storm morphing into a monster. Chief meteorologist craig setzer of our miami station wfor is tracking dorians path. Well, the storm strengthened overnight, winds up to 105 miles an hour now, moving to the northwest at 12, expecting to continue because its over very warm waters. The wind shear very low. It will be a category 3 today, category 4 by tomorrow as it breaches the northwest bahamas. Thats the sunday evening time frame here. And then monday evening, labor day, approaching the florida coast
