i m katie phang in for chris hayes. tonight a development in the department of justice classified documents case against donald trump. it comes in the form of a filing from trump s coconspirator and codefendant, wall teen nauta. today, his lawyers try to get the first hearing in the documents case postponed indefinitely. they filed this motion, asking federal district court judge aileen cannon to delay the hearing scheduled to take place this friday, july 14th. they are claiming in this that the date just doesn t work, because now does lead, lawyer is scheduled to begin a trial for another client in washington d.c. this week. notably, that client is federico klein, former trump appointee at the state department who faces several charges in connection with his participation in the violent insurrection on january 6th. walt nauta s lawyers argued in the motion today that his local florida counsel cannot appear on her own because she just joined the case last week. these de ....
