South Korean environmental and energy solution provider City Oil Field, said Friday it signed a contract to supply decomposition oil derived from waste plastic to Vietnam’s Nam Anh Joint Stock Company. The Lao National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control has announced measures to enhance COVID-19 prevention and control during the traditional New Year festival Boun Pi May 2021.

The decision was made after Laos recorded the first community infection in mid-April.
The committee asked the Health Ministry to continue tracing suspect cases and conduct vaccination as scheduled.
The Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism was required to temporarily shut down entertainment areas, karaoke parlours and eateries during the remaining days of April.
According to the committee, all F1 cases having contact with the patient No.50 tested negative.

NA Chairman pays working trip to central Nghe An province
ABO/NDO – National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended a ceremony in central Nghe An province on April 11 where the Ministry of Health handed over a decision recognising the Nghe An General Friendship Hospital as an end-line hospital in medical checkup and treatment in the north central region.
Handing over the decision to the hospital, Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said that as a tertiary referral hospital providing health check-up and treatment services, the Nghe An General Friendship Hospital will play a stronger role in the development of the health sector of Nghe An province in particular and the whole north central region in general.

Digital challenge forum launched to seek solutions to social issues
ABO/NDO - The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has launched the Vietnam digital technology challenge forum as part of the activities to introduce Vietnamese-made platforms to serve in driving national digital transformation.
It is the continuation of the programme entitled “Technology Friday” held throughout 2020, during which the MIC promoted 38 digital platforms which are as good as or even better than similar solutions provided by foreign companies.

With a new name and format, the programme is now takes the form of a forum where guests will be invited to express their opinions about the solutions presented at the event, in addition to the usual introduction of solutions by their developers.
