Fair weather, isolated rains seen in most parts of PH Wednesday

MANILA A forecaster on Wednesday said many areas in the country will experience fair weather, with isolated rains caused by localized thunderstorms. "(The country) is currently experiencing monsoon break, which means slim chances of rains. This may last until next two days,"Grace Castaneda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said. MANILA - Most parts of the country will continue to experience fair weather, the weather bureau said Wednesday. The low-pressure area (LPA) last tracked at 185 km. east of General Santos City, will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Davao region. "It (LPA) has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours, but it will bring rains over parts of Mindanao," Grace Castaneda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said. Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will also experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the frontal system affecting extreme northern Luzon. The rest of Luzon will have fair weather. The LPA, last tracked 220 kilometers southwest of Zamboanga City, has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours. "However, it will continue to bring rains over Palawan, the Visayas and Mindanao," Grace Castaneda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
