house this past week, but now the ranking member of the house intelligence committee is speaking out. talked with cnn today. where does their investigation go now? well, one of the big things that both the house and senate intel committees are trying to weigh is just how valuable michael flynn, the former national security adviser s testimony will be. of course, the big bombshell at the end of the week is that flynn said he is willing to testify if he is granted immunity for that testimony. he s offered this up to both of those committees. he has offered it up to fbi and the justice department, but it seems as though the committees in the congress are a little skeptical that there will be any real value in flynn s testimony, at least to the point where they would be willing to take that immunity. this is what adam schiff, that ranking member on the house intel committee, had to stay about it this morning on state of the union. we don t want to do anything that will interfe ....

credit for $500,000. he basically doubles the amount he can borrow against his apartment. he later uses that money, he says, to pay stormy daniels in october 2016. and rudy giuliani has told us there are several other issues that he settled for trump and that he was reimbursed for. it is possible, though we don t know how he spent the remaining amount in his increased credit line that he may have used that for some of these other issues and that s one of the things that s under investigation. that s such a key line saying mr. cohen resolved other problems similarly for mr. trump. how significant is that? we have rudy giuliani giving a variety of figures about how much money was used here, when it was used. walk us three vis-a-vis the size of those payments. rudy giuliani said he was getting north of $400,000 for a year of retainer payments and
that was to reimburse him for things he took care of. it leaves open the possibility of up to another couple hundred thousand dolla ....

president itself wants to do the interview and it s only his lawyers holding him back. so what is really going on here? does the president want to talk or not? politico suggests the answer is yes. despite the risks. that s because of, quote, trump s belief in his self-created myth, that he can convince anyone of anything if he s simply given the opportunity to get them in a room alone. apparently that includes special counsel bob mueller himself. i want to bring in nbc s peter alexander who s live in berkeley heights, new jersey. peter, if the president really wants to do it, he could just say yes. i mean, his legal take is working for him. so what s going on here? yes, chris, you make a very good point. there would be one easy way for rudy giuliani and, frankly, president trump, to wrap this thing up sooner. giuliani saying he wants it to end within the next three weeks, by september 1st. he doesn t want it to interfere with the november elections. they would sit down with robe ....
