Crews at Water Works Park are closely monitoring river levels as well. A problem they just arent accustomed to in december. 4 13 50 11 4 13 58 03 weve had the park close before, but its usually from an ice jam not too much water coming through the raccoon system coming to us. Water works park remains open right now. But bill stowe says they will close if the Raccoon River continues to rise. And it is expected to. The river is currently at 12. 14 feet. Flood stage is 12 feet. The National Weather service anticipates it will reach moderate flood stage. Cresting tuesday night just over 16 feet.
