daily. i am chuck todd. for decades republicans loudly pushed back the right to an abortion, and now that the supreme court seems poised to deliver on the promise republicans made for decades to overturn roe v. wade, republican lawmakers are changing the conversation, and it s the issue could complicate their plans to take back congress this november. take a look at what we have already seen from republicans since the court s draft alito opinion leaks. one man running for the senate went out of his way to let people know the matter is settled law no matter what the court does. translation, he doesn t want to have a debate about abortion rights in the state of nevada, where a large majority are in favor of it. and thune says he doesn t know if abortion is a party issue. and you have the nrsc, which is the gop senate campaign arm, and they want statements to be put out that carefully trend around the issue. pushing a 15-week ban could be popular when coupled with hitting ....
