Uniindia: New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who arrives in India on Saturday morning on a two-day State Visit, will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House after being accorded a ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Olaf Scholz s visit to India is the first standalone one by any German Chancellor since the commencement of the Inter-Governmental Consultation (IGC) mechanism between the two countries in 2011.
While the Russia–Ukraine crisis has given India the impetus to engage more proactively with European states, the need is to maintain and build on the momentum, in the pursuit of mutual benefit and prosperity.
