aileen cannon to discuss two thing that are critical for the progression of the trial. one is the start date. we that you understand jack smith s team, the special counsel, wants the trial to begin on december 11th. they ve laid out the schedule they want to keep to. but trump s team wants to delay the trial indefinitely, postpone it in the election. of course, that means if former president trump is re-elected president, he could weigh in on his own fate in the trial. a lot riding there. the other piece that s being discussed does classified documents, that s the heart of the entire investigationer the heart of the trial, how trump handled those documents but prosecutors have said they want to limit how much walt nauta, the codefendant, and trump can actually see of the documents. and that they ll have to present to a jury to show information was deeply sensitive to u.s. national security. but also not present them with so much information that they would then be exposing th
