happening. now the president has taken the turn of saying the recently renegotiated trade deal with canada and mexico will pay for the wall. he touched on a criticism which is that deal has not been passed by congress yet so it hasn t been ratified. that trade deal doesn t have provisions in it that states mexico is going to pay for the wall. of course, that trade deal is not going to be putting money directly into the u.s. treasury. so a slew of problems with that. i thought it was really interesting what the president did say about nancy pelosi and chuck schumer. the president said he didn t want to have to declare a national emergency. the one person he will have to make a deal with is nancy pelosi. so it doesn t seem to bode well for those negotiations that are going to happen if he is comparing nancy pelosi to the leader of china.
