In a series of tweets this morning, the president said, the government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the u. S. Military. He cited, quote, the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Ash carter lifted it last year saying it was the right thing to do.
