(File photo) Two years after a police number was launched for reporting non-urgent crime, wait times are causing frustration, with some callers left on hold for more than an hour. In the last 17 months, more than 2 million people have called 105 to report a non-urgent emergency but almost a third of those callers hung up while waiting for their call to be answered. The average waiting time was just over four minutes. Motueka woman Kate was at home alone one night last month when a man knocked on a sliding door at the back of her house, taking her by surprise.
