Greensburg Restaurant Week will showcase dine-in, takeout options


Greensburg-area eateries are cooking up special menus for Greensburg Restaurant Week, scheduled for Jan. 25-31.
About 20 restaurants are expected to participate, according to Ashley Kertes, executive director of Greensburg Community Development Corp., which organizes the semiannual event.
During the week, local restaurants typically offer reduced or fixed price menus, from casual lunches to fine dining dinner experiences. Many will showcase a three-course meal, often including a beverage, topping out at $35.
Specials might be a little different this year, Kertes said, with participants adjusting to pandemic-driven changes, including some diners’ preference for takeout and restaurant seating capacity capped at 50%.
“Some people are still afraid to go into the restaurants, so we still want them to be able to enjoy the week,” Kertes said. ....
