Telecom industry AGR up by 1.88% sequentially in Dec quarter, led by Jio, Airtel: TRAI, ET Telecom

In terms of mobile services, Bharti Airtel’s quarterly AGR, or revenue from licensed services, increased 3.22% sequentially to Rs 20,480.58 crore in the October-December quarter while Jio saw an increase of 2.67% to Rs 24,862.85 crore.

Talks begin on pricing of new spectrum bands

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) is seeking input on pricing and spectrum quantum for future auctions of new bands for mobility and satellite communication services. The Department of Telecommunications has identified frequency ranges 37-37.5 GHz for International Mobile Telecommunication (IMT), 37.5-40 GHz, and 42.5-43.5 GHz for international mobile telecommunication (IMT) and satellite gateway links.
