The city says workers were out on the northwe way south to collect all of the sandbags over the next 3 weeks. People should put sandbags in the public rightofway along the front curb, on the street on lightlytraveled streets, or on any portion of a driveway. Pickup was supposed to start on monday, but the contractor hired to do the work needed until today to prepare a contract for the job. Just in to the cbs two news, Iowa Attorney Generals Office says two cedar rapids officers were justified in shooting a suspect last month. On september 12th officers Ashley Steele and Jeremiah White responded to a domestic call at an apartment. When they got there they old fighting with his ex girlfriend.
