Today Officials Say that aaron alexis used an active legitimate hard pass credential to enter the navy yard, ultimately walking into building 197, and using a shotgun that he legally obtained in nearby northern washington, embarking on this murderous rampage. It turned out it was an extended confrontation with security and Law Enforcement personnel within that building, building 197, home to the Navy Sea Systems command. Someone does Something Like this, it disappoints me. To see what people will do in crimes even do to their own children or other children. Its a very disappointing thing. You are supposed to protect your children at all cost. You are not supposed to try to kill your children. We are also learning that wilkerson was cited for an improper lane change that led to a fatal car wreck according to the courier. Jane velez mitchell as we learn more i keep thinking about the kids and reading the charging document. It quotes one of the kids being treated and saying mom tried to kill us. We are learning that these kids were heroes. They interviewed the kids after the terrible ordeal. They found that te oldest child, the 10yearold girl jumped into the front seat and was trying to steer the vehicle, the minivan away from the ocean and trying to save herself and her mother and two siblings. She couldnt overpower the mom. Essentially this sheriff is saying she was lucid enough that she did this intent
