TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State Volleyball team lost just its second home match of the season on Friday in what was a thrilling five-setter vs. Miami, falling to the Hurricanes, 3-2 (25-19, 19-25, 25-20, 22-25, 12-15), in front of a packed crowd at Tully Gym.
The Seminoles (19-7, 11-5) held the edge most of the fifth set, leading 12-8 before Miami (22-4, 13-3) rattled off the final seven points to win the match.
Friday’s rivalry matchup featured several entertaining long rallies between two of the top digging teams in the ACC. Redshirt junior setter Lily Tessier had the tall task of engineering FSU’s offense against a good Miami defense and did a solid job with 51 assists as well as a team-best 22 digs, her 10th double-double of the season.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State Volleyball team begins the critical month of November with a road trip this weekend, taking on Clemson on Friday at 7 p.m. and No. 14 Georgia Tech on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Friday’s match vs. the Tigers (11-12, 3-9) will be streamed on ACC Network Extra, while Sunday’s match vs. the Yellow Jackets (19-3, 10-2) airs on the ACC’s regional sports networks, which includes Bally Sports South and Bally Sports Sun.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – A tense back-and-forth match was ultimately won by Florida State Volleyball on Sunday as it defeated Syracuse, 3-2 (25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 24-26, 15-11), at Tully Gym in a contest that lasted nearly three hours.
The Seminoles (16-5, 9-3) finish the month of October with an 8-2 record as they head into the critical month of November. Freshman outside hitter Audrey Koenig blasted a career-high 18 kills, including some big points down the stretch, and finished with a .298 hitting percentage.

(Seminoles.com) – Freshman middle blocker Skye Ekes put together a career performance in leading Florida State Volleyball to a 3-0 sweep (25-20, 25-16, 25-15) over Boston College on Friday night at Tully Gym. The Sarasota, Fla., native tallied a career-best and match-leading 13 kills for the Seminoles (15-5, 8-3), whom recorded their third consecutive sweep in conference play. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State Volleyball team wrapped up back-to-back road sweeps on Sunday as it took down Wake Forest, 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-19), at Reynolds Gym.
The victory by the Seminoles (14-5, 7-3) comes after sweeping Virginia Tech on the road on Friday.
“I've never been more proud of a team,” FSU Head Coach Chris Poole said. “Most of the players on the team have been trying to fight off illness. We could have laid down and given up with the way they were feeling, but they fought through the adversity. Simply an amazing effort by every player over the weekend. This is a special group of young ladies.”
