TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Seminoles have a new freshman setter, Ashley Reynolds, from Sarasota, Fla., as head volleyball coach Chris Poole announced her signing on Friday morning.
During her high school career at Pine View High School, Reynolds earned many honors including 2022 FL 7A Player of the Year, SunPreps All-Area First Team, and Prepvolleyball.com High School All American Special Mentions. After earning a spot on the AVCA Phenom Watch List for three consecutive years since 2020, Reynolds helped her team take home the 2022 State Championship title in her senior season with a nearly undefeated record.
As a competitive athlete, playing both indoor and beach volleyball, and being a full-time student; Reynolds balanced 11 AP courses throughout her high school career. She earned the honor of 2021 and 2022 AAU Academic All-American and will graduate with a 4.8 GPA. Reynolds plans to study psychology at FSU.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Florida State Volleyball incoming freshman Audrey Rothman has been selected as one of 24 nominees for the USA TODAY Girls Volleyball Player of the Year.
The Spain Park High School product and Birmingham, Ala., native earned a selection to the All-USA TODAY HSSA Girls Volleyball Team. The winner of the national player of the year award, along with three finalists, will be revealed on July 31 during an on-demand broadcast.

Rothman’s senior year in 2021 was historic, guiding her high school to its first state championship. Her standout season included 709 kills, 247 digs, 71 blocks, 67 service aces and 35 assists as the Jaguars compiled a 47-4 record.

LINCOLN, Neb. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State Volleyball team put together an efficient performance on both sides of the net in its NCAA First Round sweep over Kansas State on Friday evening at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Neb.
