TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Coming off an emphatic sweep on the road at Miami, the Florida State volleyball team will look to keep that momentum as they head to Atlanta, Ga., to face No. 13 Georgia Tech. The Seminoles took the first two sets, but Georgia Tech rallied to win the final three sets to defeat the Seminoles in five sets. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State volleyball team will play one final regular season match inside of Tully Gym on Friday night against North Carolina. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. There is no broadcast for the match, but fans can follow along via live stats or at FSU Volleyball on Twitter for updates throughout the match. The Seminoles and Tar Heels have already met once this season when the Noles won a five-set thriller in Chapel Hill on Oct. 2. The Noles were down two key players in Audrey Rothman and Ava Pitchford in that match but still found a way to win. Audrey Koenig led the way with 15 kills in the match. October's five-set match is not something new to the series between the Seminoles and the Tar Heels. The last four meetings between the two teams have all gone five sets. In the last 10 meetings, six of the matches have gone five sets with the two teams splitting those six matches with three wins apiece. The Noles are looking to protect Tully Gym once again. FSU
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State Seminoles (14-7) continued their domination at home with a three-set sweep (25-17, 25-20, 25-12) over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (12-9) on Sunday afternoon. The Seminoles improve to 10-1 at Tully Gym and 6-4 versus ACC opponents. The Noles were simply dominant in the first set against the Demon Deacons, leading from start to finish and picking up a 25-17 win. Florida State posted a .314 hitting percentage, led by sophomore Khori Louis' five kills. Wake Forest showed more fight in the second set, keeping the Seminoles lead to a few points for most of the set. The Noles would eventually pull away though, taking the set 25-20. FSU managed to improve upon their hitting percentage from the first set, raising it to an impressive .346. The Seminoles completely controlled the third and final set, winning 25-12 and finishing the set on an 11-3 run. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State Seminoles (5-1) made quick work of Yale (2-1) in their first-ever matchup in Tully Gym on Saturday afternoon, sweeping the Bulldogs in three sets (25-15, 25-10, 25-25-11). In just six matches, the Seminoles have swept the three last opponents.
Head coach Chris Poole praised the team stating, “It was a really clean game. We did a good job handling everything they threw at us. I was really proud to see the way we played. It was the cleanest match that we played so far this season.”
The Noles came out with power in the first set, leading through every point. The offense was dominant, earning 12 kills on 25 swings and only one attack error. Five different Seminoles recorded a kill in the first set, led by Audrey Koening with five. The Bulldogs were unable to respond to the strength of the Seminoles, ending the set 25-15 with a kill from Emma Clothier.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State Volleyball Team was one of several collegiate programs to earn the United States Marine Corps-American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, announced on Monday by the AVCA.
The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.
