On a December day in a normal year, the Rex Baxter Building is hustling and bustling, full of families and volunteers from the Amarillo branch of the Salvation Army participating in the distribution of toys and clothes for the annual Angel Tree Project. 
But this year, like most things in the past nine months, plans had to change due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. But the fact that in-need families from the Amarillo area were served did not change. 
The Amarillo branch of the Salvation Army hosted its annual Angel Tree Distribution in the Ann Crouch Event Room at the Sunset Center on Thursday, providing toys, clothes and gifts for nearly 500 families from Amarillo and Canyon.  ....
