Rabbi Allison Berry, speaking for herself and the Newton Interfaith Clergy Association, called dealerships, “stores that sell violence,” while another speaker who held the opposite point of view said “the world did not end” when Newton previously had gun shops that sold legal weapons and supplies. However, according to a sign on the door as well as a recording on the business line, customers can call or email and make appointments. Neither the sign nor the phone message indicates where the appointment would take place or what transaction might occur. Nobody answered the phone number listed on the website and sign on Tuesday morning. ....
