bay area cities over the death of george floyd. here is what it looked like late last night. thousands of people gathered in downtown oakland to express their outrage over the death of another black man by a black police officer. it turned into looting across oakland. this video from walgreens, the same area where last night s demonstrations began. someone set a fire inside as dozens of people took over the store. the crowd grew to an estimated 5,000 protesters during one standoff. this one at 7th and broadway. protesters threw fireworks and projectiles at police. it poured on to the 880 freeway. traffic stopped in both directions. many people told us they didn t want violence to overshadow why people are protesting all over the country. came down here because i have sons and cousins and uncles and daughters. i just had enough, and i can t stay at home frozen with fear. i m not an advocate of burning down our own stuff, the things and the businesses that we do own, but fo
