Yucky air for another 24 hours. And fire danger. If you are thinking about going out and starting a fire, think again. Dry gusty winds will continue. Super hot today. What happens tomorrow, for some parts of the bay area its actually going to be hotter. Well talk about that in a moment. The heat putting a strain on the states hower grid. This power grid. The state will be using a record amount of power to stay cool today. With the people whose job it is to keep the energy flowing and the next couple of hours are crucial. Definitely crucial for the next couple of hours. In fact, there was a little bit of a scare here earlier today. Apparently there was a grass or brush fire near some high powered transmission lines and that triggered the transmission lines to go off line for a few seconds. But they were able to get that line back online so it was not a major emergency but thats the kind of day its been for these folks trying to keep the lights on. The big board shows
