Fairfield Police are investigating a stolen municipal vehicle from the Fairfield Waste Treatment Facility on 09/28/22. The vehicle has been recovered. Officers have identified the juvenile suspects and the investigation is continuing with charges pending. All Senior class students attending Wayne County Illinois high schools will have the opportunity to participate in the student class trip to Washington D.C. for the first time in four years. The last time 12th graders from Cisne, Fairfield, and Wayne City High Schools were able to take this annual trip to D.C was April, 2019, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year's trip will be extended by an extra day for the first time, allowing the students to also tour Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, the amazing home and property of America's third President near Charlottesville, VA. This new feature will be part of the return trip home, following the Seniors' experience of many of the highlights of our Nation's Capital. This upcoming student trip is scheduled for April 20th - April 24th, 2023. The Bernard and Naomi L.
