The man showed us an identical van saying he believed police were partially responsible. They were in a customized van that was fully insulated and actually heated. The temperature wasnt taken until the door was open for who knows how long. The night two senior agents were suspected of drinking and then driving through a crime scene at the white house. Senior political reporter scott thuman is in the newsroom with new information. Scott . Scott director clancy down played part of that incident that they allegedly hit a barricade with their car. They said it was one to two miles per hour. They didnt even knock it over. Because other officers let them go home, theres a lot of curiousity now over what the videotapes will show. However, director clancy facing some tough questions today as our camera caught him arriving for this here on capitol hill. Clancy admitted while some of the incident was caught on tape the recording before that main white house camera at that location, no longer exists. It has been recorded over and here is how he explained it. I know ive seen reports that the tapes have been erased. That is not the case. The boy killed in that motorcycle crash last night. In the last 45 minutes people came by to place flowers chris papst spent the day piecing together what happened. Chris this is the spot he was standing when he was hit and killed. The motorcycle slid along these markers when he hit the boy, who was waiting to cross the street. What this man saw was something he never wanted to see. At four in the afternoon, he watched as a motorcycle collided with a car on the 3500 block of eastwest highway. The motorcyclist was thrown off the bike, which then hit for people waiting at this curb to cross the street. He saw the pain and chaos, but did not know the young child he watched lying on the grass later died. Thats really sad to hear. Chris and you see the child . I just thought the child was hurt really bad, i didnt know he died. Chris the motorcycle was heading westbound and collided with the car turning into the mall.
