According to the most recent Oakland Police departments citywide crime reported yeartodate robberies have increased 33 and strongarm robberies are up. 35 Small Business owners say that increase in crime is obviously bad for their business. And thats why oakland chinatown, chamber of commerce, president carl chan is leading this oneday strike for oakland businesses who say theyve been affected by crime.
