it s the first gun reform law of its kind to be passed in the country. the council members say will aim to promote safer gun ownership. but opponents of it say the law violates their constitutional right to bear arms. just moments ago that dylan law group and the national association for gun rights announced its lawsuit filed last night against the city of san jose kron on s sarah stinson did speak to some san jose city council members about their vote on the measure. she has more details on what comes next. san jose is the first city in the country to approve a gun law like this. so it s expected to hit some snags along the way. but if and when it does go into effect to the gun law will require gun owners to have liability insurance. they ll also have to pay a $25 annual fee. police officers will be enforcing this by asking for proof of insurance every time they encounter someone with a gun, the first of its kind ordinance also gives officers the right to seize a gun ....
