Aging published Potential reversal of epigenetic age using a diet and lifestyle intervention: a pilot randomized clinical trial which reported on a randomized controlled clinical trial conducted among 43 healthy adult males between the ages of 50-72. The 8-week treatment program included diet, sleep, exercise and relaxation guidance, and supplemental probiotics and phytonutrients. ‘Following a specific diet and lifestyle interventions may reverse Horvath DNAmAge epigenetic aging in healthy adult males.’ Genome-wide DNA methylation analysis was conducted on saliva samples using the Illumina Methylation Epic Array and DNAmAge was calculated using the online Horvath DNAmAge clock (also published in Aging). ....

Moms of young children are already less likely to get the recommended amount of sleep and physical activity than women who don t have children. These shortfalls could raise the risk for obesity and poor health, and the lockdown worsened the situation by increasing the levels of stress and household chaos, said Chelsea Kracht, Ph.D., a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Pediatric Obesity and Health Behavior Laboratory at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. ....
