The chp officer who hit that pedestrian was traveling northbound on highway 1 when he struck the man right in front of sams chowder house. The pedestrian was a 74yearold filipino man from burlingame. A worker at sams chowder house and another bystander said the man was part of a wedding reception being celebrated at the chowder house tonight. Now, that man was rendered aid by the Fire Department but he did die here at the scene. This happened at 8 24 p. M. A portion of highway 1 has been closed since a few minutes after the accident.
