We have a pretty typically pattern but slower than usual stretch here. Well show you hayward. We typically see slowing there, but look a little farther north than were use. Media is outside waiting for the family to come outside and they said they would make statement after the judge makes a decision so they should be out shortly. Defense attorneys for torrez requested dna evidence which would possibly postpone the trial until october 10 m. The motion to postpone the trial was again denied. Four years ago morgan hill teen sierra lamar disappeared while walk together bus stop on her way to school. A grand jury indicted Garcia Torrez in the case. Police presume lamar is dead but her body hasnt been found. Defense attorneys today argue that they need more time to look over cds and a cell phone that they found in discovery but again the judge just a few minutes ago said she will not grant the postponement of the trial and she said she will hear a motion starting august 31s
So you were saying earlier that there are protocols in place at most College Campuses because weve had so many of these tragedies in the past decade or so. One thing that obviously is very useful is social media. Universities and colleges have developed a system of sending out a warning usually to everyone to stay in place or to seek shelter when these sort of events occur. Yeah, but these plans that are in place now that are parts of Homeland Security and local Homeland Security and local Emergency Management officials and local police are much more complex than this. What theyll do is theyll go to any college, university, any business, any significant organization that has a significant population and what theyll do is a survey to begin with. Theyll survey that organization on what kind of security they have in place now. And that survey will tell them where there are vulnerabilities and what needs to be fixed. So after the survey, theyll make recommendations on what needs to be done

The new bridge on the left side, you c see the s curve onhe right. No back up at the toll plaza as you can see from this live camera. Only vehicles here are being used by crews. The bridge will be closed for another four days and here is a look at San Francisco side of the bridge also void of traffic. That is scheduled to happen by 5 00 a. M. Tuesday.
