Im betty ngyuen. Overnight a rapidly spreading wildfire in Southern California grew larger, and this morning it is on the move. The silver fire is what its called. Its in riverside county. Its moving east toward the resort town of palm springs. In just a past few hours, the fire has grown to 22 square miles and is burning an estimated 1,000 acres an hour. The latest update puts the blaze at just 20 contained. Local officials have ordered nearly 2,000 people out of the area. 26 homes have already been destroyed.
