Wicked Local CARVER – The redesign of the intersection of Route 58 and Montello Street as part of the North Carver Urban Renewal Plan may be completed by the end of this year. A new check for $100,000 from Route 44 Development LLC for roadway improvements as part of the mixed-use business development has been submitted to the town, according to Planning Director Jim Walsh. The $100,000 was requested by Walsh as part of Route 44 Development’s commitment to provide matching funds for the $3.2 million MassWorks infrastructure grant the town received in December 2019 for traffic improvements, including a new traffic signal at the critical intersection. ....

With development underway nearby, the Redevelopment Authority is readvertising the property at 90 Forest St., at the corner of North Main and Forest streets, on the recommendation of Planning Director Jim Walsh.
