CARVER – The redesign of the intersection of Route 58 and Montello Street as part of the North Carver Urban Renewal Plan may be completed by the end of this year.
A new check for $100,000 from Route 44 Development LLC for roadway improvements as part of the mixed-use business development has been submitted to the town, according to Planning Director Jim Walsh.
The $100,000 was requested by Walsh as part of Route 44 Development’s commitment to provide matching funds for the $3.2 million MassWorks infrastructure grant the town received in December 2019 for traffic improvements, including a new traffic signal at the critical intersection.
