Shakir Ashraf SRINAGAR: Bidyshagar Singh hatrick led TRAU to a thumping 3-1 win over Real Kashmir FC at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium in Kalyani on Wednesday. It was the 8th minute when TRAU broke through the Real Kashmir FC defence but the Snow Leopards with the help of Danish Farooq pulled a goal back in the 24th minute. The first real chance for Real Kashmir FC came in the 18th minute when Mason Robertson’s shot was deflected for a corner kick after the Snow Leopards launched a counter-attack that almost reaped dividends for them. The attacking duo of Bidyashagar Singh and Komron Tursunov continued to trouble the Real Kashmir defence. And in the 37th minute, they combined to hand TRAU the lead once again. Bidyshagar Singh was played on goal by a Komron Tursunov pass and the nimble-footed forward slyly slotted the ball past an onrushing Anuj Kumar to make it 2-1. ....

Senior JK Cricketer Under Scanner For Alleged Favourtism Shakir Ashraf SRINAGAR: A senior Jammu and Kashmir cricket team player is being probed for alleged charges of nepotism and favouritism after a written complaint was filed against him with the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA). JKCA Chief Executive Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari has now sent a letter to the senior player asking him to explain his stand on the allegations. “In order to substantiate the contents of the memorandum by providing a reasonable opportunity to you under the rule, you are hereby asked to attend the office of the undersigned on 22-02-2021 at 2 p.m sharp at Jammu so, that your statement can be recorded and further action as warranted under the rule shall be taken into the matter,” the letter reads. ....

Shakir Ashraf SRINAGAR: In the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy J&k team defeated Uttar Pradesh by eight wickets. Captain Parvaiz Rasool won the toss and opted to bowl. Batting first Uttar Pradesh managed to set the total of 124 for five in their allotted twenty overs. Mujtaba Yousuf bowled an economical spell by taking three wickets and considering only 14runs in his four overs. However, Abid Mushtaq and Abdul Samad took one wicket each. The Jammu and Kashmir team chased the score easily in their 15th over. Abdul Samad scored 54 runs from 35 balls, which includes two boundaries and four sixes while Shubham Khajuria scored 34 runs from twenty-five balls. ....
