Ethan Ellison was said to have taken part in the Court Link program designed to help defendants tackle the issues that often underlie their offending. After completing the program with positive results, Ethan Ernest Ellison, 27, from Bundamba, pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to eight charges including possession of the drug ice; driving when drug positive; three charges of stealing; possession of a knife; possession of property suspected of being used in a drug offence; and failing to appear at court. ....

Stephanie-Dawn Mackenzieâs defence lawyer was at loss to explain her actions when appearing before the Ipswich Magistrates Court for sentence. Mackenzie, 24, from Goodna, pleaded guilty to 11 charges including nine charges of stealing and two for failing to appear at court. She appeared from jail via video-link. Prosecutor Sergeant Molinaro said Mackenzie was stealing items that were not essential, including dresses, wine, mirrors, jewellery and cosmetics. âShe was wearing some of the stolen items when spoken to by police,â Sgt Molinaro said. ....

Nearly three years after the first of the drunken incidents, Christine Gillies went before Ipswich Magistrates Court for sentence. Christine Estelle Gillies, 41, from Atkinsons Dam, pleaded guilty to nine offences including two charges of serious assault/resist public officers while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance; serious assault public officer performing public function by spitting when adversely affected; assaulting a police officer; contravene a police direction; possession of dangerous drugs; possession of drug utensils; and committing public nuisance. ....

As thief Ajay Hughes reversed down the drive and sped away from the scene, he fishtailed the stolen green Ford down the road and the noise brought residents out onto the Laidley street. One of the bystanders threw a rock that smashed the rear windscreen, Ipswich Magistrates Court heard on Friday. Despite its sirens and flashing lights he drove at speeds reaching 152km/h and failed to stop. Scott was pursuing an Audi driver he said cut him off, an Ipswich court heard when he was sentenced on Friday. His Commodore was impounded soon after, and he’s now been fined $6672 for evading police. Niel Allan Scott, 24, a professional truck driver from Basin Pocket, pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to dangerous operation of a motor vehicle; and evading police. Prosecutor Sergeant Molinaro said Scott had posed a very real risk to other drivers. ....
